Changelog

2026-10-16 (~8:52 PM CT)

  • Foreman: re-read live profile after Improve My Bots updated only the NAS clause (NAS edits allowed generally, canonical AIMacMini:~/projects, protected sections kept) and reported a fresh smoke Index. bots/foreman.md now matches the live profile in substance; the earlier "profile lags docs" note is closed. Spot-check on mini: PROJECTS.md present, ACTIVITY.md stale (>36h), DIGEST.md missing — no Index transcript found on disk for Archivist to re-verify.

2026-10-16 (8:51 PM CT)

  • Wiki: Ian chose wiki.remnantsecurity.com. Beacon owns it (assigned in the Archivist chat). Source = this repo; preview at /workspace/grokbot-preview/index.html. DNS + first publish need Ian's yes to Beacon. New decision: decisions/2026-10-16-wiki-site.md. Updated bots/beacon.md and OPEN-WORK.md (In progress).

2026-10-16 (8:04 PM CT)

  • NAS rule settled: all NAS edits are allowed now, and the single canonical root stays AIMacMini:~/projects. Confirmed by Ian in the Archivist chat on 2026-10-16 8:04 PM CT (answering the widget), following his verbatim 'You can edit to NAS.' at 7:30 PM CT and Warden's ~7:31 PM CT report of the same widening from Warden's chat. Supersedes the narrow PROJECTS.md/ACTIVITY.md-only exception. Updated decisions/2026-10-16-nas-editable.md, bots/foreman.md, OPEN-WORK.md (widening item moved to Done with date), ARCHITECTURE.md, infra/macs.md, and the earlier exception decision.

2026-10-16 (~7:32 PM CT)

  • NAS widening recorded, attributed to Warden: Warden reports Ian confirmed directly in Warden's chat (2026-10-16 ~7:31 PM CT) that NAS edits are allowed generally, canonical root stays AIMacMini:~/projects, and Warden saved it superseding the narrow PROJECTS.md/ACTIVITY.md-only exception. Updated decisions/2026-10-16-nas-editable.md, bots/foreman.md, OPEN-WORK.md, ARCHITECTURE.md, infra/macs.md, and the earlier exception decision. At that time the widening was recorded attributed to Warden only. Superseded by the 8:04 PM CT entry above.

2026-10-16 (~7:30 PM CT)

  • NAS rule resolved for the confirmed exception (per Ian): single canonical root stays AIMacMini:~/projects; /Volumes/nas/projects is a backup mirror where PROJECTS.md and ACTIVITY.md writes are allowed, rest backup-only. Recorded Ian's exact words verbatim (2026-10-16 7:30 PM CT, Archivist chat): 'You can edit to NAS.' The widening question was listed under Waiting on Ian at that time. Superseded by the 8:04 PM CT entry above. New decision: decisions/2026-10-16-nas-editable.md. Updated bots/foreman.md, infra/macs.md, ARCHITECTURE.md, and OPEN-WORK.md (NAS-exception item moved to Done with today's date, per Ian; widening question listed under Waiting on Ian).

2026-10-16 (~7:26 PM CT)

  • New infra page infra/omarchy.md: Ian's AMD dev PC (label omarchy, tailnet hostname omarchy-ai — full IP not recorded), Omarchy Linux, Ryzen 9 5950X 16c/32t, 62 GB RAM, 1.9 TB disk (1.8 TB free), Radeon RX 6600 XT with ROCm gfx1032 working. Grok Bot, claude, codex, hermes, and Ollama (qwen3:8b, bge-m3) installed. Strongest machine for coding and local AI. Source: Atlas, verified 2026-10-16 (Archivist did not independently verify). ARCHITECTURE.md mermaid, infra/box.md, and infra/tailnet.md link to it instead of copying the full spec.
  • Foreman re-read from the live profile (restored 2026-10-16 ~08:05 CT; /workspace/audits/audit-2026-10-16.md): root changed from two roots (nas/ext) to a single canonical root AIMacMini:~/projects; /Volumes/nas/projects and /Volumes/External Home/projects are backup mirrors, never read for Index and never edited. Updated bots/foreman.md and infra/macs.md. NAS-exception note corrected in bots/foreman.md and OPEN-WORK.md: Ian's approved exception (write PROJECTS.md/ACTIVITY.md on NAS) is not in the restored profile, which says never edit there — contradiction left for Warden to confirm.

2026-10-16 (~7:58 AM CT)

  • Closed Dev Diary X posting-rule conflict in OPEN-WORK.md (moved to Done). Atlas confirmed (Oct 16 ~7:57 AM CT; not heard from Ian directly): Dev Diary may post publicly on X with no approval needed for main posts; bots use each CLI's default model with no pins. Note: Dev Diary's own profile/chat notes may still say approve-main-posts until it updates. Updated bots/dev-diary.md and decisions/2026-10-16-dev-diary-public-x.md.

2026-10-16 (~06:10 CT)

  • Product Diary: Beacon owns blog.remnantsecurity.com via itrimble/product-diary. Daily post weekdays 7:13 AM CT (auto-publish, skips quiet days); weekly roundup Fridays 3:43 PM CT (PR waits for Ian's yes). Recursive-improvement showcase from real grokbot-docs data; macstories.net style. Decision: decisions/2026-10-16-product-diary-blog.md. Updated bots/beacon.md and routines.md.
  • OPEN-WORK.md: Product Diary marked in progress; Dev Diary posting-rule open item no longer cites "Archivist memory" (there is no such memory); question to Atlas kept.

2026-10-16 (06:10 CT weekday refresh)

  • New bot page: bots/hermes-tuner.md. README now lists 18 profiles (17 active, 1 retired). Noted its profile still names the Mac mini though Ian moved it to the box.
  • infra/box.md: box Hermes v0.22.2, primary gpt-6.1-sol, aux pinned, guardrails, memory, 6 ported skills. Decision: decisions/2026-10-16-box-hermes-tuning.md.
  • infra/macs.md: mini Hermes facts (v0.22.2, MiniMax-M3 primary, 6 cron jobs), other CLIs, broken mcode, model storage.
  • infra/local-ai.md: Ollama model list, 11.3 GiB GPU budget, link to /workspace/model-orchestration.
  • infra/tailnet.md and ARCHITECTURE.md: box is back on the tailnet (was "logged out").
  • routines.md: Archivist weekday refresh is live (Mon-Fri 06:00 CT). Hermes Tuner weekly pass noted (unverified).
  • OPEN-WORK.md: added Hermes Tuner and model-orchestration items, a Dev Diary posting-rule conflict to confirm, leads for Warden on the mini cron failures; flagged three items unchanged since 10-06.

2026-10-16

  • Improve My Bots applied (Ian's yes, ~12:18–12:25 AM CT): CLI guardrails + per-bot lines on 12 bots; self-check on Beacon/Foreman/Studio; Tax Collector mission; Inbox Cleaner receipt rule; shared skill plain-writing (copied into skills/); audit check #8 Mondays (reported; IMB profile.json not yet updated on disk). Life events description still empty — left open in OPEN-WORK.md. Decision: decisions/2026-10-16-cli-rollout-applied.md.
  • Synced to Mac mini ~/projects/grokbot (50 files via SFTP over tssh/SOCKS; no deletes).
  • OPEN-WORK.md is now the single master open-work list (Atlas draft + Archivist merge). Retired OPEN_ITEMS.md; repointed links.
  • Added open items with dates: (a) 4 of 6 Hermes cron jobs errored Oct 15 (minimax cover, faceless research, faceless QA build, daily-native-sales-ads), owner Warden; (b) Ian approved 2026-10-16 12:04 AM CT the NAS Foreman exception, Tax Collector/Life events descriptions + receipt rule, and CLI guardrails — marked approved, Warden and Improve My Bots applying.
  • Decisions (reported by Atlas, Ian 2026-10-16 12:14 AM CT): Dev Diary may post publicly on X; Claude Code/Codex use default models (no pins). CyberSim 1.1.2 submission, SnapDog 1.2.2 upload-only, and private repos for CyberSim/Lectern sites moved to In progress (owner Atlas).
  • Corrections pass: Hermes on the box works (v0.21.6, gpt-5.5 via openai-codex, fallbacks copilot/deepseek/minimax; set up Oct 10 ~15:03 CT). Mac mini Hermes marked unverified off-tailnet. Fixed stale Provider NONE claim in /workspace/hermes/NOTES.md.
  • Scout: only Monday leads report (Mon 08:40 CT) is active; weekday digest and SnapDog lead funnel paused on server since Oct 10 (local files can be stale).
  • X Bookmarks routines documented: daily competitor-complaint search (weekdays 08:51) and weekly action review (Mon 08:28), both enabled. Tax Collector scans Oct 13 and Oct 15 noted.
  • Efficiency Architect: no profile; retired listing is for Warden only.

2026-10-15

  • Initial scaffold: README, ARCHITECTURE, 17 bot pages, 14 skills, infra pages, routines, 4 decisions, sync queue.
