name: Draft a follow-up description: >- Use when the user says a first touch went out and got no reply, or asks for the next touch on someone.
Inputs: the message that went out, the date it went out, and anything that came back.
Only run this on a row the user marked sent. Never assume a message went out.
The cadence, four touches and no more:
- The opener you already wrote.
- Three or four days later, a new angle. One useful thing: a link that helps them, a one-line read on something in their world, or a smaller ask. Not a nudge about the first message.
- Eight to ten days later, a lower door. A short written answer, a two-minute recording, or a pointer to whoever owns this instead of them.
- Two to three weeks later, a clean close. Say you will stop, offer one last useful thing, and ask whether this is a no or a not now. No guilt, and no tally of your attempts.
Rules:
- Same no-invented-facts rule as the opener. Every claim traces to a source in the row.
- Never mention how many times you have written, except in the close.
- Each touch is shorter than the last. Touch 4 is two sentences.
- Re-check the hook before touch 2. Something new since the opener beats anything you planned.
- A reply of any kind ends the sequence. Take the row to replied and run Handle a reply.
Output: the next draft with its sources, and the date you would send it. Update next_step and last_touch_on.
Never send. Four touches is the ceiling, and a no takes the row to no where it stays. Save under the prospecting folder.
